Happy Heart Day Reagan!
Just wanted to share our happiness with all of you as we celebrate Reagan's "Heart Day".Four years ago this past Thursday, Reagan received her new heart! We are so thankful for all of our friends and family that supported and prayed for her and continues to do so today. We are thankful for the mom who graciously donated her little boy's heart so our little girl could live. We are thankful for the medical teams that take care of her and her heart- then and now.We are very thankful for Reagan and the time that we have been able to spend with her, get to know her, love her, and watch her grow. We can't wait to see the woman that she will become! Most of all, we are thankful that God loves us so much and has let us witness His miracles- we have a front row seat!Wednesday night is family game night at our house. During pizza, Twister, Candy Land, GuessWho, and many more games we reflected on what we were doing four years ago on Friday the 13th. We talked about the three doctors who lined up and said "it's time". We laughed at Rick's version of "flying" over the Big bridge with Cameron and Meemaw to get from Mount Pleasant to MUSC in 7 minutes. We talked about my parents and sister braving a storm to get from Spartanburg to MUSC as fast as they could. It was the best night in our lives! Thursday we headed to Atlanta (after dance class of course). We stayed downtown so the children could experience the city. We ate at a fun tiki restaurant that had a Hawaiian band. We brought our Heart cake and everyone in the restaurant crowded around Reagan as the band sang Happy Heart Day to her. She loved it! The next day we met Rick's youngest sister and our niece at the Georgia Aquarium. It was a great visit!Hope you all have a great 2010!!God Bless,Kelly
